A quick, short entry again today as I have plans that involve Deus Ex, an all nighter and several bottles of Koppaberg. Oer the past 24 hours or so there are 2 videos that have greatly annoyed me and they are as follows:
FUCK YOU GEORGE LUCAS! You’ve just lost a sale of the Blu-Ray version of Star Wars for that!

Another Ken Block Gymkhana video! Yay! Except I have a huge problem with these videos he’s been making – Ken Block can’t really drive/rally that well.
Yes I know what I’ve just said makes little sense given the above evidence but you have to rememeber (and can probably tell from the skidmarks!) that he’s run that course probably a few hundred times before shooting that!
Other than the setting being changed there is very little that we haven’t seen before in these videos: drifting round things, drifting round moving things and of course more drifting. Very impressive to watch and good control of the car but he still can’t drive.
He routinely enters rallying events and more often than not seems to end up retiring. Skill at driving a car on a closed course seemingly doesn’t translate to a 1 shot environment of a championship rally event. Shame really as he could really mix things up in the WRC if he could practise the stages a lot.
