Sadly I’m working tonight until 9.30pm which kinda sucks. Also I think making and drinking a cocktail as strong and as awesome as this before going to work might be a teeny bit irresponsible. Also I feel it might lead to a severe case of unemployment which right now would be a bad thing.
Ever since getting into making cocktails a couple of years ago I was browsing through one of my books and got giddy with excitement on reading the following recipe and decided I had to try it someday. Finally that day has arrived!
Before you ask I have no idea where it got its utterly random name as beyond the flames I see no connection to Lamborghini at all. Still hen it tastes this good I’m not going to argue about the name! The way this drink is made is a little different than most and certainly requires 2 people to make it work. Here’s what you get:
- 25ml Kahlua
- 25ml Sambuca
- 25ml Baileys
- 25ml Blue Curacao
What you do need however is 3 glasses: 1 large martini glass and 2 shot glasses. Prepare the drink in the following manner and be careful once it’s on fire too!
- Put the Kahlua into the martini glass
- Layer the Sambuca on top
- Pour a shot of Blue Curacao
- Pour a shot of Baileys
Next up find a helpful volunteer (if you’re drinking) or a victim (if they are drinking) and get ready for some fire! With a long match or a long lighter set the Sambuca ablaze and then put a straw into the martini glass to the bottom. Start drinking quickly to stop the straw melting!
When you (or the drinker) finishes the coffee layer have the 2 separate shots poured into the martini glass extinguishing the flames and finishing the drink. Keep drinking till it’s all gone and be careful of the Sambuca fumes!
