So you know how I had all those plans at the start of the year with writing about multiplayer games that have left an impressive mark on me? Well I’ve only got 1 left I wanted to write about which was Half – Life and its associated Deathmatch mode but despite having a lot of free time here I am without anything written down.
Oh yeah and today was my last day off before the new year and the official end of the challenge for One-A-Day so I wouldn’t expect to see it any time soon. Obviously this will give me a good excuse to keep blogging and writing well into next year which is always good. Whilst writing everyday has been quite challenging at times it has also been very therapeutic in some ways.
Some things of course I can never write and publish and those things mostly revolve about work and family life as this isn’t the medium to say things about anyone be they good or bad in my view. I’ve seen several people over the years (both locally and on the web) get in a lot of trouble for publishing something that should have been kept private.
In case you were wondering some of the topics I have in mind to write about inculde not only Half – Life DM but my thoughts and feelings on the insanity of the minimum pricing for alcohol that seems to be the latest quick fix and of course the issue of ID and how the rules in some cases are just plain wrong.
Fingers crossed I should get to those in the new year at some point but when I couldn’t say. I’ve still to sort out that whole Pile of Shame for both films and games and of course actually updating the blog so it looks nice and even fixing the donate button – pretty weak effort there if you ask me!
So in summary: Procrastination bad! Forward planning good! Shame I learnt about 12 months too late :p
